This poll's results was a little surprising to me. The war, economy, and health care are all issues that seem to dominate the minds of the people, so its expected for these issues to get the most votes. However, I didn't realize that domestic issues would be so low. I always thought that individual rights were pretty important to the American citizens. Even though this poll is not completely accurate and doesn't sample the entire nation, I still would have thought that domestic issues would be more important that abortion or the candidate's personality.

I'm surprised "War in Iraq" and economy didn't end up getting more votes. Illegal immigration seems more close to people's hearts than taxes? And some of the categories are grouped within each other. War in Iraq would group with International/Foreign affairs. Domestic issues is an umbrella for several on there. Therefore, I think this poll doesn't give the best sense of where the American public is at.

I agree with will in that im surprised by some aspects like the decrease in the importance education. I would hope and i think many families would agree that the education systems need to be funded before giving money to jails for better food to the criminals. Sometimes it seems we are just putting the money where it's not needed. I personally agree that the war is our primary nation-wide issue and it is followed by economic programs. both topics go hand-in-hand since the war has had a huge effect in the U.S."s increasing debt problem. Overall, it looks like a good general poll and im anxious to see what the public opinion may be like before the presidential election.
