Excuse their excessive use of the word Bullsh*t and see the true picture. Even though this video is from The Onion, they do make a point.

I love the fake ticker stories at the bottom of these fake news segments.
It is kind of sad that people really do vote based on stuff like that, but I don't know what could be done about it. It seems to me to be a fact of politics.
That was funny. haha. I guess it is just easier to hone in on those little things rather than try to understand some of the more complex issues..
so much bullshit.
I loved the blatant, anti-Hillary bias plugged in at the end. REALLY helps the Obama campaign. But then, the Onion is just bullshit. I think the reason people care so much about bullshit is because its what got them a high school diploma - there is a special place in everyone's heart for good bullshit.
Haha, nice. It really is what everyone cares about though. Not that it would actually happen, but would the media changing its focus change anything, or would people still naturally focus on the irrelevant stuff?
I think the Onion is a good source that points out flaws of America, just in a humorous and exaggerated way. So, the Onion isn't just bulls*it. All the Onion articles I have ever read have made good points about certain issues. Anyway, we need some funny stuff about politics once in awhile.
I think people can understand the stupid little things better than complex issues that involve hours of research to fully understand stories. While the Onion makes some good points, I dont think they need to be so...crude about it.
"how can we, the media, do a better job of focusing on bullshit?" haha i love it. good work Genevieve. From the past couple months of primaries I've come to realize that that's all American politics really is; petty, bullshit issues like pointing out that Obama's middle name is Hussein or making a huge deal about some irrelevant ( and in my opinion true) comments by his pastor.
I think this is funny...and there is a lot of bullshit. (ha ha) I agree with Justin and i also think that it is sad that people vote on silly stuff like that. But this is the reallity of our politics today. people are influenced by many different things, whether they should take those influences seriously or not is a debateable issue.
It's so true it's sad. As the weeks go by and the PA vote comes closer, there is so much BS-ing going on. I'm surprised that the candidates think they can win people over by speeches and sucking up to whoever they need to win the vote. And it’s also surprising that people actually buy that “crap”. But it's not surprising the Onion's finally said something about all the BS. I mean, there's so much to work on when you're dealing with politics and the elections...and SNL has certainly had a field day with the elections.
Is someone also going to blog about the Washington DC handgun laws being possibly taken to the Supreme Court? I've been hearing a lot about it lately...
Pretty funny cause it is kind of true. To bad it was not on the 10 o'clock news cause some people might actually learn something from this. Really do enjoy when people can turn really serious issues into comical events. Great post!
The news article just shows how easy it is to believe the "bullshit" and overlook the politics. The matter of the fact is, the majority of Americans do not understand the politics and believe what they can understand-mainly gossip, clothing...everything you read about in pop culture magazines.
