Some of you may have seen this already, but it's a mock skit from the Onion dealing with the upper class of America. It would have fit in with the poverty unit, but still pretty relevant. Just another aspect of capitalism.

Haha... hilarious.
Seriously though, even if the difference between poor and rich people is getting bigger, don't the poor have a relatively better standard of living now than they did before? It's still not the best situation, but it seems like it could be worse.
I feel like it could always be worse, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be improved. The areas where children are so afraid that they won't even come out of their house is where there needs to be the most help. The gang violence rate is raising and this is a problem.
