Romney Wins Michigan

39% - Romney
30% - McCain
16% - Huckabee
6% - Paul
4% - Thompson
3% - Giuliani
100% of precincts reporting.

Romney has just won Michigan, making it three Republican candidates (Huckabee, McCain, and Romney) that have won at least one state's primary election so far. Looks like there's still no clear favorite on the Republican side. It's worth noting that Giuliani's vital signs are looking extremely low right now, although he has announced that he is focusing his resources on Florida and states holding elections on "Super Tuesday."

Wow Giulani got beat by Ron Paul. Anyway I think the election will probably come down to Super Tuesday, so I guess Giulani has some hope. But I think he needs some more momentum going into super tuesday in order to win.

i have heard that Giuliani has concentrated most of his efforts on larger more persuasive states and practically disregarded the smaller and less important ones. while this strategy may have seemed like a good idea, right now, it seems to have backfired on Giuliani. many people have already written him off as a lost cause, and therefore, like justin said, he will not have enough momentum going into super tuesday to win many elections.

Interestingly, nobody seems to be mentioning the Wyoming caucus. Romney won that state with about 65% of the vote. He picked up 8 delegates, which is more than McCain picked up in New Hampshire.

I think that Giuliani has kind of shot himself in the foot by only campagning in bigger states. People are losing hope for him now that he seems to have disappeared from the top positions in the race, and he was really relying on Florida which, now that the number of delegates from Florida has greatly decreased, was kind of a waste of time.
